Adding Dial Info to Invitations

While meeting invitations can have dial-in information in either the location field or in the invitation body as shown in Figure 164, a ‘best practice’ is to put dial number information into the location field as it is easier for participants and for Mira Connect to identify the numbers to use to dial into a meeting.
The primary types of dial-in numbers are audio teleconferencing numbers and video conferencing numbers. Both may have additional digits required to dial a conference bridge number, and possibly a personal identification number (PIN) number for access too.
To simplify audio dial-in numbers for conference room users, we recommend that audio numbers be prefixed with Audio: or Audio and include any bridge or passwords immediately following the number and separated by a comma. Include the ‘#’ character if it is required to complete a passcode or password.
An example is shown below. Mira Connect will find the dial-in number from either of these entries and present it as an option for users in a room.
Audio (678) 653 7090,223344#,4342#
As there are multiple ways to write a telephone number, Mira Connect recognizes telephone numbers with spaces or dots or dashes and with or without parentheses as shown below for North America telephone numbers
1-678-653-7090
1.678.653.7090
1 678 653 7090
(678) 653 7090
+(678) 653 7090
6786537090
To simplify video dial-in numbers for conference room users, we recommend that video numbers be prefixed with Video: or Video
Video numbers may take many forms including:
user@domain
user@domain##MeetingRoom
MeetingRoom@domain
MeetingRoom@IP_Address
IP_Address@MeetingRoom
Valid examples include:
Video 76110735@140.252.65.232
Video 140.252.65.232##7615534
Video 688432@rp1.vc
If multiple dial-in numbers are identified from the meeting invitation, Mira Connect will present multiple options for dialing into the meeting based on the equipment that is controlled by Mira Connect. For example, if there is no video conferencing equipment in the room, then only the telephone number information will be presented as options for dialing. If there is no audio conferencing equipment in the room, then only the video conferencing numbers will be presented as dialing options.
As described in ‘Changing Room Resource Settings’, if the DeleteComments option is set to $false for the room mailbox, the full meeting invitation information will be viewable from Mira Connect to users in the room ensuring all the dial-in numbers are visible for manual dialing.
Telephone numbers are terminated by either a comma (‘,’) for a pause, or with an end-of-line character. Multiple commas may be included in a number and the appropriate pauses will be added by Mira Connect when dialing. Please contact if you have questions about telephone number formats or your geographic area has phone number formats not supported by Mira Connect.
