Adding Delegates

Next, we’ll work with the room resources we just created and add the ‘service user account’ as a delegate to the room resource mailboxes. This next step is required for the service user account to share the room resource’s calendar.
From the Admin page, Under the ‘Users > Active users’ section, click on a room, then click on the ‘Mail Settings’ section to expand it.
If you see the message “We are preparing a mailbox for this user” as shown in the following figure, you need to wait until the mailbox is ready before editing any settings.
Once the mailbox preparation has finished, click the ‘Edit Exchange properties’ link to continue.
Clicking the ‘Edit Exchange properties’ link will open the Exchange management console (you may need to sign in again with your administrator username and password that was used in the very first step).
Next, click on the ‘mailbox delegation’ link highlighted in the following figure.
Under ‘Send on Behalf’, click the ‘+’ as shown in step 1. Double-click the name of the service user account, in this case ‘Mira Connect’, from the list of users, then click ‘OK’ as shown in the following figure.
Repeat adding the service user account in step 2 with ‘Full Access’, click the ‘+’ and double-click the name of the service user account from the list of users, then click ‘OK’.
The delegation page should appear as shown in the following figures. Ensure the service user account has been added to both the ‘Send on Behalf’ and ‘Full Access’ fields. Click ‘Save’ to continue.
Repeat these steps for each room you have added to your organization where you’d like to have Mira Connect use the calendar information.
Once all the room resources have had the service user account added as delegates, you are ready for the next step: sharing the calendars.
