Adding Delegates
Add the âService Userâ as a Delegate to the Room Resource Accounts
Next, weâll work with the room resources we just created and add the âservice user accountâ as a delegate to the room resource mailboxes. This next step is required for the service user account to share the room resourceâs calendar.
From the Admin page, Under the âUsers > Active usersâ section, click on a room, then click on the âMail Settingsâ section to expand it.
If you see the message âWe are preparing a mailbox for this userâ as shown in the following figure, you need to wait until the mailbox is ready before editing any settings.
Once the mailbox preparation has finished, click the âEdit Exchange propertiesâ link to continue.
Clicking the âEdit Exchange propertiesâ link will open the Exchange management console (you may need to sign in again with your administrator username and password that was used in the very first step).
Next, click on the âmailbox delegationâ link highlighted in the following figure.
Under âSend on Behalfâ, click the â+â as shown in step 1. Double-click the name of the service user account, in this case âMira Connectâ, from the list of users, then click âOKâ as shown in the following figure.
Repeat adding the service user account in step 2 with âFull Accessâ, click the â+â and double-click the name of the service user account from the list of users, then click âOKâ.
The delegation page should appear as shown in the following figures. Ensure the service user account has been added to both the âSend on Behalfâ and âFull Accessâ fields. Click âSaveâ to continue.
Repeat these steps for each room you have added to your organization where youâd like to have Mira Connect use the calendar information.
Once all the room resources have had the service user account added as delegates, you are ready for the next step: sharing the calendars.
